Quayside Gymnastics

Quayside Trampoline and Gymnastics Club enjoyed a hugely successful day at the 2026 Regional Challenge Cup Final on Sunday 19 April, with gymnasts producing a string of outstanding performances after qualifying through the two previous rounds.

In the individual trampoline event alone, 51 gymnasts represented Quayside, helping the club secure 10 individual medalsthree South West team selections and an impressive 28 team medals across the competition.

A major highlight of the day came from Quayside’s Double Mini Trampoline squad, coached by Senior Development GBR gymnast Theo Gundry White. Formed only a year ago and competing at its first Regional Finals, the squad saw seven gymnasts qualify, returning with four individual medals and four South West team places.

Subject to confirmation, those athletes finishing in the top two in Regional events will now go on to represent the South West team at the Inter Regional Challenge Cup Finals in Birmingham on 4–5 July.

Quayside’s individual trampoline medal winners were:

  • Emma Lovell – 1st in the 13–14 Female Level 3 event and selected for the South West team
  • Cooper Maddock – 1st in the 11–12 Male Level 4 event and selected for the South West team
  • Isabelle Curd – 1st in the 13–14 Female Level 4 event and selected for the South West team
  • Darcey Hetherington – 1st in the 11–12 Female Level 2 event
  • Ava Hall – 1st in the 07–08 Female Level 3 event
  • Maisie Mayhew – 2nd in the 07–08 Female Level 1 event
  • William Wilson – 2nd in the 13–14 Male Level 3 event
  • Mia Davey – 2nd in the 15–16 Female Open event
  • Toby Evans – 3rd in the 11–12 Male Level 3 event
  • Hallie Wellings – 3rd in the 13–14 Female Level 3 event

Quayside’s Double Mini Trampoline medal winners were:

  • Mike Oleksiyevets – 1st in the 15+ Male Level 4 event and selected for the South West team
  • Emily Drabble – 1st in the 13+ Female Level 2 event and selected for the South West team
  • Poppy Leach – 2nd in the 13+ Female Level 2 event and selected for the South West team
  • Isabelle Curd – 2nd in the 13–14 Female Level 3 event and selected for the South West team

This meant Isabelle Curd achieved the notable distinction of qualifying for the South West team in both trampoline and double mini trampoline.
