BRIDGWATER & WESTON SUPER-MARE, UK – Fast-rising UK DJ and production duo HERATIKS have transformed from a late-night studio collaboration into an internationally supported electronic act, achieving Number 1 and Number 3 spots on the Music Week Charts, plays across BBC Radio 1 and a string of releases over an 18 month period. The story behind their two-year journey and industry rise has been detailed in an extensive retrospective published on LinkedIn. READ THE FULL ARTICLE from HERATIKS on LinkedIn.

Formed by Justin Krause and James Wiggans, HERATIKS are part of a distinct sonic signature known as “Bass Tech”, blending driving tech house grooves, heavy bass house weight and authentic UK garage swing.

‘Bass Tech’ & Debut Breakthrough

The project launched following years of independent production and DJing across the UK, into Europe, Thailand and the US. Early momentum built around an unreleased bootleg – The Blessed Madonna & Kylie Minogue – ‘Edge of Saturday Night’ (HERATIKS Remix), gaining traction in DJ sets from Miami to Ibiza.

Their debut original release, ‘Drop Tha Spot’ followed. After reaching #10 in the global Spinnin’ Records Talent Pool, the track was submitted to the Data Transmission live stream with Grahame Farmer and Loz Seka. Receiving praise and the coveted “Rave Horn”, the duo refined the track based on feedback before signing it directly to Data Transmission’s dt weapons imprint.

Ahead of its release, ‘Drop Tha Spot’ was selected as the “Sound of the Weekend” on BBC Introducing The West by presenter James Threlfall. Upon release, the track peaked at #25 on the Traxsource Tech House Top 100 and earned A-list support from global heavyweights including Joris Voorn, Nic Fanciulli, Denis Cruz, Paco Osuna, AC Slater, Grant Nelson, Richie Hawtin, Steve Bug and Sam Supplier on Centreforce Radio 883.

Hitting #1: The Official Alex Party Remix

Just one year into HERATIKS, they were tapped for an official remix of Alex Party’s iconic 1993 dance anthem, ‘Read My Lips’.

The connection started at Fatboy Slim’s ‘All Back To Minehead’ Weekender in Somerset, where the duo were working with Lizzie Curious on her Curious Energy Stage. After the event, producer Charlie Big discovered HERATIKS’ music via social channels. Impressed by ‘Drop Tha Spot’, Charlie Big and Shanie Campbell (the original Alex Party vocalist) asked the duo to deliver a high-energy rework of the classic vocal track.

Released as Charlie Big x Shanie x Lizzie Curious – ‘Read My Lips’  (HERATIKS Remix), the release package of Lizzie Curious’ Mix and the HERATIKS Remix hit Number 1 on the Music Week Commercial Pop Top 30 Chart (Week 12, 2026), ahead of some huge household names.

Individually, the HERATIKS remix hit the Beatport Bass House Top 10, charted on Traxsource, and gained national plays on BBC Radio 1, Radio 1 Dance, and Kisstory with The Wideboys with the track being played globally from LA to Germany, Russia to Kiss fm Australia.

BBC Radio 1 & ‘100% Producer’ MiniMix

BBC Radio 1 airplay came following direct engagement with presenter Jaguar. Liking the sound and the prior BBC Introducing backing, Jaguar took the track to her production team. They placed the HERATIKS Remix into national plays the following week.

Following this, BBC Introducing host James Threlfall got back in touch to ask if HERATIKS would drop an exclusive 10-minute mini mix. This isn’t something you turn down. The duo delivered a “100% Producer MiniMix” of their own released, unreleased and works in progress.

‘Rub Ah Dub’ & Festival Weapon ‘Hands Up High’

Building on their initial success, HERATIKS reunited with Charlie Big, Shanie and Lizzie Curious to deliver an official remix for ‘RUB AH DUB’ on Nuhope Entertainment, alongside house music veterans Booker T, Dancing Divaz, and Blandy (Ian Bland). Following editorial features across Earmilk, Data Transmission, and Electronic Groove, the official remix package hit #3 on the Music Week Commercial Charts and Number 3 on the Upfront Club Charts simultaneously in May 2026.

HERATIKS followed up with their second original single on dt weapons, titled ‘Hands Up High’. Engineered for large-scale systems by Oliver Portmento (GAWP) at Most Wanted Audio, the track received support from Fatboy Slim (“I love the hook. The feel-good factor.”), Roger Sanchez, Joris Voorn, Paco Osuna, Shiba San, Slipmatt and many more!

The single earned a spotlight feature on ‘MistaJam Reacts’, securing placement on MistaJam’s official Spotify playlist alongside continued international radio syndication from Los Angeles, Chicago, New York, Ibiza to Australia’s KISS FM.
